VARSITY PLAYERS
Varsity squads will consist of players 11-14 years of age. Players may not be older than 14 years old by August 1st. Varsity players must not weight more than 220.9 pound playing weight. All players in the 8th grade must play Varsity regardless of age and weight. No repeat 8th Graders or High school players are allowed. Players weighting 200-220.9 will be designated X-Man based upon weigh-ins at the annual Round Robin. Once designated an X-Man player, the player will remain an X-Man until completion of the entire season. If during the course of the season a player exceeds 200.9 regular player limit, he/she will be designated an X-man for the remainder of the season including post season play. 12 year old 7th graders weighing 100.9 pounds or below, may opt to play down at JV as an “older lighter”. The decision must be made prior to the certification of books as on once a player opts to move down, he/she may not move back up at any time during the season or after the book certification.
JUNIOR VARSITY PLAYERS
Junior Varsity squads will consist of players 9-11 years of age by August 1st. a maximum of 140.9 pounds playing weight are allowed. All 8th grade players must play Varsity regardless of age and weight. A 12 year old 7th grader weighing 100.9 lbs may play down on JV as an “older lighter”. At any time this “older lighter” goes above the 100.9 lbs at any weigh-in, he/she is not eligible to play in that contest but may participate in any contest thereafter in which he/she makes the 100.9 and below designated weight.
PEEWEE PLAYERS
Pee Wee squads will consist of players 7- 9 years of age by August 1st. The maximum weight for a Pee Wee player will be 120.9 pounds playing weight.
ROOKIE PLAYERS
Rookies consist of players 6-7 years of age by August 1st. The maximum weight for Rookies is 110.9 pounds playing weight.
Note: To clarify age cut off date by August, 1st, Cen-Cal will use the players age that he/she is ON August 1st. All weights are for the entire season.
